The origins

HISTORY

1791 – Luigi Lucarelli builds a small winery upon a hill nearby San Ginesio, where he owned some vineyards. Our wines today age in the same winery, with the same stone walls and the same wood ceiling.

The wood wine press, made by a local artisan friend of Luigi, is today the symbol of our winery and a rare example of craftsmanship.

Six generations of our family have shared the same passion for quality wines, year after year, with patience and dedication. Since more than 50 years, Valerio is elevating the quality of our wines with a lot of research both in the vineyard and in the winery. He represents today our energy and our strong passion for this fantastic world. There is a unique link between all of us, from Luigi to Valerio: the love for our land, with its aromas and flavours, which explode and amaze us every time we open a bottle.

Respect

We respect nature. We limit our intervention in the winery because we want our wines to maintain their personality and to be expression of our land, of its aromas and flavours. We do not use any chemical product in the vineyard: we practice organic agriculture and we work to defend our precious ecosystem.

Patience

Nature moves slowly but can make extraordinary things, offering unique emotions to those willing to follow her slowly and with patience.

Passion

Passion is a strong energy that makes life less boring and pushes humans beyond their limits. Everybody should fully pursue his passions. We decided to do so, dedicating our lives to our winery.

Our land

THE WINEYARD

The ancient archive “Catasto Gregoriano” testifies that grapes have been grown in our land since centuries.

We are at 550 m. above sea level, in the east side of a hill at the feet of the Sibillini mountains.
