200 YEARS, ONE FAMILY, ONE PASSION
1791 – Luigi Lucarelli builds a small winery upon one a hill nearby San Ginesio. Six generations of our family have shared the same passion for quality wines, year after year, with patience and dedication. We love our land, its aromas and flavours, which explode and amaze us every time we open a bottle.
SARNUM
Sarnano, originally known as Sarnum, is located at the feet of the Sibillini Mountains. It is included in the official list of the “most beautiful villages in Italy”. Its name derives from Latin Sarnus, Roman veteran of the 1st century AD, who received as a pension benefit the hill where Sarnano is located today.
LENÒS
Lenòs means “wine press” in ancient Greek. The name is linked to the symbol of our winery, the hand-made wine press in wood of the late 1700, but also to the ancient Greeks, who played a key role in the development of the wine tradition of our region.
